Art of a Rebel LLC was founded in the remembrance of Carl Adam Lunn and Jermaine Cordell Hawkins, two extremely talented creatives from Kansas City, KS, whose art knew no limits. Adam was diagnosed with paranoia schizophrenia in his early 20s. He transitioned on May 6, 2018 at the age of 25. Jermaine C. Hawkins transitioned on December 4, 2019 at the age of 35. May their names carry on, their stories be told, their spirits live forever and their art find a home in eternity.
Through the arts, we plan to ignite a positive dialogue surrounding mental health in the Black community, while creating a safe space for self expression, love and happiness.
We are actively seeking local artists and creatives! We want to hear your stories, we would love to document your creative process and it’s our duty to help share your talents with the world.
